We are pleased to announce that a call for funding within the Creative Force programme is now open. It will close on May 15 2013. The Swedish Institute’s Creative Force programme welcomes applications which aim to promote openness and democratic structures with the aid of projects in the fields of culture, media and related sectors.

One of the four geographic regions included in the program is Africa. This region comprises Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The programme is open to collaborative initiatives between organisations in Sweden and in one or more of these countries. It is important to note that applications must be submitted by the Swedish partner in a collaboration.

Creative Force Africa is financed by Sida under the Strategy for special initiatives for democratization and freedom of expression, 2012–2014.
